In order to ensure we are truly getting to a child's heartfelt wish, our wish team began using a "Heart of a Wish" Letter when completing travel trailer wishes. During Covid-19 the number of travel trailer wishes we granted increased dramatically, and we wanted to ensure that each wish was tailored to the child. Below is Andres letter:

We have received your wish request for a travel trailer! In order to help us understand the heart of your wish request, please prepare a letter describing why this is your wish. The more you explain about your wish, the more we understand how to best make your special wish come true if approved!

  • List the things you really like to do when you go camping or new things you would like to try while camping. I love to go biking when camping walking the trails, fishing, cooking smores and hot dogs and cheeseburgers on the grill! I would love to try an outdoor movie on a projector with popcorn while camping!
  • When you think of going camping, what makes you smile the most? Being able to ride my bike on the trails they have and going over the bike trail bridge with my bike and making alot of noise!
  • If there is something specific you would like in your travel trailer let us know! Bunk beds, two side outs, TVs and radio, projector for movies, LED lights inside and out, fire place for in spring and fall to keep us warm, movie theater chairs inside, kitchen for mommy to cook outside, lots of room for my whole family!
  • What made you decide to wish for a travel trailer? We loved camping with family friends camper last two year unfortunately the hail storm that travel trailer will be totaled out. Camping is my happy place because I get time alone with my family and they don't have to work so they spend more time with me!
  • Why is it important for you to have a travel trailer over a different wish?  I can take my travel trailer anywhere and be able to explore in alot of different places the adventures are never ending and this wish with a travel trailer would be never ending for me and my family.
