Madison is a very unique 8-year-old girl. Madison has a rare genetic condition called RARS 2.
With this condition she has a form of seizures that cause catastrophic amounts of brain damage. Madison’s seizures have caused her to have cortical vision impairment, developmental delays, and have ultimately led to her being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Madison is nonverbal and she uses a wheelchair for mobility.
Madison loves things that play music, have lights, and most of all being in motion. She especially enjoys Disney’s Moana, Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast. The best laughs and smiles from Madison are when she is doing something with a lot of motion. She loves going on the swings at the special needs park and going fast in her wheelchair on bumpy gravel.
Having unique abilities can be very isolating for children. The amazing gift your family and Make-a-Wish have given to her will provide her with more opportunities to get around on the family farm with her brother and cousins. Madison and our family will be forever grateful for the kind and generous people who were able to make this possible. We are looking forward to many bumpy gravel rides for her in her new accessible golf cart.
