Sirens are not usually a fun sound for children with critical illnesses. It can remind them of scary, unknown times. Connor is a 10-year-old boy with a neurological disorder. Although he has never been a fan of sirens, he does find joy in seeing the big red firetrucks that race down the street by his house.

After almost a three year wait, Connor had the wish of a lifetime granted this past summer. Most children have a hobby and interest that excites them more than anything else. This bright and bubbly 10-year-old boy is a firefighter fanatic. Connor’s wish was to go to St. Louis to visit a big fire station, meet some of the firefighters, and ride in their firetruck. Not only was he able to visit the station, but he was also able to attend the St. Louis Zoo as well. To read more about Connor’s wish journey, visit the link below.
