Bo was diagnosed with a brain cancer called ATRT (Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor) at 10 months old. He survived a brain tumor resection, multiple surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation treatment. We heard about Make-A-Wish from the social worker at the hospital. We always hoped Bo would tell us what he wanted to do. He has some delays, including speech, so communication has been challenging. We postponed our trip until he was old enough to understand what we were doing. He was so excited about the airplane ride!! His favorite part of Florida was riding the rollercoasters and all the snacks at the pool :) Our family enjoyed the time we had together. We felt very isolated during Bo's journey. With one parent always away or both of us gone while he was receiving treatment, the older kids felt the impact of his diagnosis in a different way. The time we have all together is so precious and we are so grateful.

Supporting Make-A-Wish matters to families who have spent time at their child's bedside in the hospital. Parents hoping to take them home and give them an experience that is not about needles or scans but about fun and family.
